And in that while I have been a semi-busy girl. What with exams and papers due I barely had the time to pamper myself! But fear not, today instead of studying I said "Damn this I'm going shopping!" ;D
I picked up a cute new Italian Cashmere scarf for the cooling weather, moisturizer, cleanser, a hand full of other toiletries, a lovely new nail polish, blush, and hairspray.
Of that lot my faves will be pictured below:
The hairspray is L'oréal Elnett Satin in "extra-strong hold", a product I'm very excited to try since I have heard/read amazing reviews on it.
The nail-polish is Rimmel Lasting Finish Pro in "Steel Grey" (though the colour is more on the taupe side), I love this line of polishes. They are affordable, the varnish lasts a long time (7-10 days w/o re-application), the colours are vibrant, and they have a glossy, creme finish to them. The trend for matte grey nails has been going on for quite a while now and I'm so late jumping on the bandwagon mainly because I never found a matte grey nail-polish at any drugstore I looked in. Well today I found 3! The one I purchased, a Revlon one, and a Sally Hansen one called "Commander in Chic." All three where within 1-2 shades/colour tones of each other so I ended up choosing based on price: the Rimmel was the most inexpensive of the three. Besides I already know the quality, so I made a good choice.
The blush is from M.A.C.'s "Venomous Villains" Collection. The villain depicted is the Evil Queen from Snow White and the blush is called "Bite of an Apple." It is a beautiful, matte pinky-red. When I wear the blush it really gives a warm texture to my cheeks. This blush is my first ever special collection purchase from M.A.C. and I may go back at some point and spend some more time playing with the other products. From my first look and impression, "Bite of an Apple" was the only item to really catch my eye and make me crave it. The rest of the collection, colour-wise, was rather average.
Lastly, my cute scarf; bright enough to be cheerful in dreary rainy weather, but neutral enough to go with everything.
I would love to go clothes shopping soon, just to do the rounds at my favourite boutiques around the city. Maybe tomorrow after lunch with Dad? I'll keep you posted!
kissy-kissy,

7-10 days with out reapplying! I really need to invest in better nail polishes... Have you tried any of those non-aresol hair sprays (in spritzer type dispensers)? I have one which is quite good, better for the environment too, although it does smell a little strange.
ReplyDeleteI like the aerosol ones better because the spray is less "wet" than ones with a spritzer. Also, I find that the hairsprays with the most chemical concoctions in them work the best. Seeing as I use them maybe once a month, I'm not worried that my hair will get permanently damaged.
ReplyDeleteVery interesting blog (^^)
